Yo Dawg! I herd you like beatboxing, so...

Mc Xander is a Kenyan-born multitalent living in London. The man sounds like Matisyahu, creates his music in layers during a gig like Imogen Heap, and beatboxes like a maniac. Still, he does his own thing that almost can't be categorized to any specific genre. A strong dancehall vibe shows in the colourful beats.

The 11-track debut album 'Eyeopeness' was released in february. I loved every single song on that album, so I hope the guy gets the recognition he deserves... maybe we'll see him at Flow Festival next year!

Summer lovin'

Shit yeeeeah!

It seems that the holiday season took me in december.. but now I'm back. It has been a busy first year in school and it still is, but soon it'll be over.. because the summer is coming and I'm stoked!

I applied to photojournalism studies earlier but my portfolio wasn't good enough so now I'm just going to keep on practicing and you're going to see lots and lots of photos in the future of my blog.. hopefully some good ones too.

But that's enough for now beause I have books to read and exams to attend.. Here's a few shot's of Pupulandia's Jenni from a photoshoot last summer and a song of a real life Zoidberg to get your mood right! :D

Live Music Baby!

Hiyaa!

Merry pre-Christmas everybody! It's already december and the pre-Christmas party season is raging. My season consists of a lot of different concerts and gigs.

Tampere has so much live music and great small bands to offer that I could enjoy a great band live almost every night. Last week there was...

..Picnic with Lulu minitour

@Vostok pikkujoulut, YO-talo

..and Delay Trees

@Klubi

Tomorrow it's Moto boy's turn @Dooris. I will be taking some photos for Desibeli.net so there will definitely be something to show.

(PS. that Delay Trees photo also for Desibeli.net)

Tim Gilbertson

This weekend I was browsing through my old cd collection and found an old friend! Tim Gilbertson plays laid back power-pop with a unique sound. It was his debut album in 2007 that really inspired me and I almost over-listened it. Meaning I listened to it all day long for weeks.

Now there's a new Tim Gilbertson album called Palisades. I'm not through listening to it yet but sounds great! Check it out. Today's song is an older one called 'Wasting air'.

Even though I didn't get a photo pass I still had to see Biffy Clyro play live at Lost In Music festival. The ticket was 25€ but worth every penny. The heat was on in the first row :D here's some photos I took.
